Hi,
I'm looking to buy a second hand laptop, specifically for using Chessbase & Rybka. Can anybody suggest one that is cheap, but can support these two programs.
Thanks in advance, Nick.

Re: Laptop for Chessbase & Rybka?
Anything that can support at least Windows XP (service pack three) can run Rybka & Chessbase. Which I would hazard a guess is about 99.9% of all computers (I have a 10 yr old Intel Celeron 700MHz laptop that I use only for testing chess programs which can run Win XP, Rybka 4, and ChessBase11)
That said, multi-core processors will utilise all the power of "deep" versions of Rybka etc. Rybka also runs faster in a 64 bit environment. And as with most things, the more RAM the better.
Basically, the only advice you need is to buy the best computer you can afford on your budget
