I saw the line. My question is, what explains it? What's the motif, and the theme ( forgot the 3rd element)IM Jack Rudd wrote:There's a cute checkmate: 1.Nxb6 Kxb6 2.Qxa5+! Kxa5 3.Nc4#.
Obviously, black can play 2...Kb7 instead, but then 3.b6 is a lethal double attack.

Black gets mated or loses lots of material. Game Over basically. Is any more explanation needed?soheil_hooshdaran wrote: My question is, what explains it?

The stronger the player, the more likely that the winning combination, or at least skeletons of it, is the first thing they notice. Call it intuition or pattern recognition. That's what at least some of these self improvement methods don't really recognise.soheil_hooshdaran wrote:Yes, How to recognize such a tactic?

That's not the key to things. What is meant to happen to white if he takes the rook?

A forced mate presumably. Black's first move is on the theme of interference as I think problemists would describe it, interfering with the Bishop's access to a4.soheil_hooshdaran wrote:What's this combination based on?

Re: Why did he did so?
Removal of defender. The c2 pawn is overloaded, needing to guard both b3 and d3.
