Including events in the UK's crown dependencies, I know of the following ones that regularly run:

Tradewise Gibraltar Masters
Polar Capital Jersey International
South Wales International
Scottish Championship
British Championship*
Jessie Gilbert Celebration International
London Chess Classic Open
Tradewise Hastings International

*You would not be eligible for this event, because you are not a British or Irish citizen or resident.

Gibraltar isn't a Crown Dependency, it's an Overseas Territory.

Strictly speaking, a British (and not a UK) Overseas Territory.

It's good to see that our Board has such a strong grasp of the legal niceties!

Is it a bit like the BCF and the ECF?

What would happen if my rapid rating increases to high level, say to FM- or even GM-level, but my standard ratingg still remains at the 1700-level? Would I get FM or even GM then?

Yes.

I can't see any connection with your earlier posts on the thread.

Thank you. I now understand.

The London Chess Classic proper, a 10 player top level Round Robin tournament, is part of the Grand Chess Tour.

The CSC London Chess Classic Open is a tournament within the CSC London Chess Classic Festival, a closely connected but distinct event, and is not part of the Grand Chess Tour.
