Are these different to the ones that are freely available on the chessbase website?

Yes.

I did both, but the DVDs have a lot more content (twice as many vids), plus the vids on my DVD that cover the same topics as the CB ones go into a lot more detail.

And they use the current version of Fritz as opposed to the ChessBase vids.

Nick

I've really enjoyed your videos on Youtube and they have really helped me get a lot more out of Chessbase 11.

However one area that still remains a bit of a mystery to me is how best to keep a repertoire database and update it with relevant new games. Any reason it isn't on the DVD?

Perhaps a brief note saying "Don't use this function because it doesn't work" would suffice.

I'm working on a "Guide to Fritz for advanced users" DVD which will go into detail on the repertoire function. It's quite an advanced feature for a dvd that starts with showing you installation :)

Ian, what version of what software are you using, and have you activated and updated to the latest patch?

I'm using ChessBase 10, Service Pack 5, dated 11 August 2010 (from the "About ChessBase 10 ..." dialog box). The file I installed from (a long time ago) is identical to the one still available here - http://www.fritzserver.org/updates/cbm/c10.exe

Nick - I couldn't see how to buy the 2 dvds for £20 on eBay?

(Might be user error. I don't know how to use eBay either, but I'm less interested :) )
