Looks like the move transmission has gone haywire in Luke's game... (EDIT: temporary glitch!)

Luke's drawn according to chess 24; other games look reasonably level

Anyone worried about Mickey's position? The computer does not like it... -1.0 after 33.g3 and 33...Bd2. Now -1.2... :(

(Looks completely lost to me.)

Yes, I was worried earlier but relatively reassured by the engine assessment. After Bd2 though and specifically the idea of meeting Rxa4 with Ra3 it does look very bad.

Looks like Mickey has resigned. :(

Maybe someone on one of the other boards will roll the dice? :?

WIll quickly add this as well...

I mean guys... like I said I'm fine with all this chat but...

I totally get why some people JUST want to play online...

I am a better player online than I am OTB.

On YouTube now you see all these vids HOW I WENT FROM NOOB TO 1900 in just 2 years.....

This is the future guys...

If I was like paid for it I'd be like an alright online player... like if chess was like football and treated as such I'd prob be/have been a Champ or league one player over my career...

Really? where do you draw the line once you take such draconian actions...even some of the more draconian chat sites offer a 3 strike and out rule or even a 3 or 5 day temp ban.
I don't think any posters should be removed for expressing unpopular opinions ...I seen some very controversial posts but no foul language and after it was explained regarding the sickness issues I seen a noticable down turn in the intensity of the ("wind up?") posts.
Freedom of speech...I found Peters post very funny.....and iI enjoy a bit of banter and controversy... in tennis , many more people switched on to see John McEnroes rants at the empires than to see Bjorn Borg play perfect tennis.
Then again chess is perceived as boring...maybe keep it that way :)

Board 1 was a draw so for the second successive day David is left with the daunting task of trying to make something out of nothing to save the match.

And David agrees the draw so that presumably makes Armenia 3rd.

This was a third strike and out job.
Cheers

Kata also won and the other two games were drawn so a 3-1 win to finish and hopefully a norm & board prize for Lan Yao but waiting for confirmation.

Excellent news re: the win for England Women and the result by Lan Yao.

In the Open, Germany have won their match. No idea what is happening in some of the Serbia-Greece games.

EDIT: Greece set to claw back a 2-2 draw, so Germany will take the gold medals.

EDIT: Sorry, got White and Black mixed up on board 3, Serbia set to win and take the gold medals?

That's good news

Open final rankings

Serbia gold narrowly on tiebreak from Germany; Armenia 3rd; England 6th

Board prizes

Luke 4th, David 5th, Nikita 6th

Women

Bulgaria gold from Azerbaijan and France; England 13th (as per seeding)

Board prizes

As Loz says, bronze for Lan Yao
