Bizarrely, Dominguez has been paired in round 7 (board 22). After tweeting the organisers though he has been removed and the pairings republished
His withdrawal was requested too late though to avoid his opponent winning by default and, after the upfloat, being catapulted, for free, to 5.5/6, unfairly impacting the tournament.

That at least in part is down to FIDE intransigence in not allowing pairings to be changed or repairings to avoid defaults.

I believe some players are upset by the discovery that they are not playing the opponent they expected.

They did change the round 7 pairings when I contacted them to say that Dominguez was in the draw but at least then it was a matter of minutes.

Even then, as an organiser I have found there is always one player who manages to see the original pairings but not the revised ones.

I'm pleased to report an IM norm for Svyatoslav Bazakutsa (Ukraine) who was born in 2008 and plays for Wood Green Youth in the 4NCL.
