European Women’s Individual Chess Championship 7-19th May Tbilisi, Georgia

Jovanka Houska and Ingrid Lauterbach both played in this World Championship Qualifier. Jovanka finished on 6.5/11 and Ingrid on 2.5. Jovanka had a very difficult first week but then had a strong finish after the rest day winning her last four rounds whilst Ingrid had some good results in the first week against high rated players, including a win against Jovanka, before a run of losses against lower rated players at the end spoiled her performance.
