Roger, thanks for the link. The England squad seems to be:-

Under 18: James Foster and Abigail Pritchard
Under 16: Marcus Harvey & Chantelle Foster
Under 14: Ananthanarayan Balaji, Tarun Malhotra & Louise Head
Under 12: Harry Croasdale
Under 10: Arul Gupta & Asha Jina

Louise is shown as unrated but I think she now has her first FIDE rating of 1794. Louise would have been unrated when the team was registered, hopefully this will be put right before the start of championship.

The rating for Louise seems to have been recalculated (possibly excluding Gatwick e2e4 major?)

Does anyone have a clue what has happened?

I don't know where the 1855 came from, but I think it might have something to do with FIDE's initial error in not rating Sunningdale on 1st September.

1794 is correct based on the three events showing in her record.

Sunningdale (May 2011)
Gatwick (June 2011)
Sunningdale (August 2011)

The odd thing is that both ratings are based on 15 games, which is correct.

I am writing an article for the British Chess Magazine about 'Brits Abroad', and I would welcome any games (annotated or otherwise) and reports from non-titled players who have been using their summer holidays wisely!

Email me at [email protected] for more details, but you don't need to write a lot, just tell me what you thought of the tournament, how you did, who you went with and so on - and let me have a link to the tournament website.

I received an email regarding the following tourament www.ajedrezcalamillor.com, although it does start on the 24th Sept

Another amatuer tournament with three sections and a poker tournament to boot

U1900 with a 1st prize of 5,000 Euros, good prizes down to 25 place
U2200 with a 1st prize of 1,500 Euros
Open section with a 1st prize of 1,000 Euros

If people cannot make it this year, it is worth keeping an eye out for it next year

Louise's mum tells me that, from using the initial calculation on the FIDE website the original 1855 rating seemed about right to them. Then the rating changed online to 1794 and Louise's mum contacted FIDE to find out what had happened and got a reply to say that there had been a computer error affecting several people's ratings and Louise's was correct at 1855. They then corrected it again a few days later. Hope that helps.
