Matthew Sadler finished first with 8.5/10 and a performance of 2758 in his first rated event since 1998. Peter Sowray & David Eggleston scored 6 and Graham Burton 4.5.

15-year-old Peter Williams won the FIDE rated Championship with 5/6, ahead of Paul Girdlestone 4.5/6 (British Championship Qualifier).

Keith Arkell won the the 4th Jessie Gilbert Celebration International Festival Open with 8/9 finishing two points clear of Bogdan Lalic and had a performance of 2627. Chris W Baker and Michael Healey finished 4th equal on 5.5.

Mickey Adams won game 1 with black in round 1 against Mark Paragua and then drew a hard fought 111 move game 2 to qualify for the second round where he will play Peter Heine Nielsen.

In the Premier all-play-all, which had GM norms available, Stewart Haslinger finished on 4.5/9 and Lorin D’Costa 2. In the Challengers IM norm all-play-all Peter Poobalasingam scored 2.5/9 and James Jackson 2. In the Open A Sarah Hegarty scored 5/9 and Gareth Haslinger 3.5 whilst in the Open B Hannah Dale & Mike Haslinger finished on 5.5/9.
