I recently read, in an interview with Matthew Sadler, in the November edition of Chess that he wants to play in the England Olympiad team.
I think the event is in Turkey at the end of August 2012. If a full strength team could be selected you would get something like:
1. M Adams
2. L McShane
3. N Short
4. M Sadler
reserve: G Jones
I think such a team definitely has the potential to get amonst the medals. I wonder when the team is due to be selected, if there are funds for a full strength team, and whether McShane will be available.
