Michael Adams leads with 6/7 after a marathon one hundred and fifteen move win against fellow English grandmaster David Howell. Nigel Short is on 5.5 whilst David is on 5.
Notable English results include Craig Hanley beating Emil Sutovsky rated 2703 whilst Simon Ansell drew with Edoardo Iturrizaga (2649), both in round 1. Nigel Short beat Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (2757) in round three and David Howell drew with Judit Polgar (2710) in round 3 before beating Emil Sutovsky (2703) in round six.
