Hi John, nice to see you are keeping upto date with Cappelle. Coming to the 3 hour mark and about to post top board status and you have got there first:-
1 [6,5] HARIKRISHNA P. 2678 GHARAMIAN Tigran 2671 [6,5]
2 [6,5] SANIKIDZE Tornike 2549 1/2 NEGI Parimarjan 2639 [6,5]

What may not be so obvious from the pairings informaion is that Gharamian is French and a frenchman has never won the Cappelle Open. A crowd is gathering around the game. The England group are all still in play.
Must get back to the venue it's getting quite exciting.

As soon as Peter said that, top board was also agreed a draw. In fact all top 5 boards are drawn. A win for white, Martyn Kravtsiv, on 6, though.

Just got back from venue with Sam, lost a pawn down in endgame. So we have a win for Neil, draws for George & Andrew, losses for Sam & Gerald. A multiple draw for 1st place.

Good evening

Just to round things off, from the closing ceremony and the crosstables:-
Gerald won a prize in the u1600 section, had been in the lead for a while.
Andrew won a prize in the veterans section.
George won a prize in the 2199 to 2100 section.
Sam pleased with his TPR of 2310 (thinks he gains about 17 points)
Neil ok about finishing with about the same rating with which he started. It is really tough and to coach at Cappelle.
