LIST OF RECOMMENDED ARBITERS FOR THE CHESS OLYMPIAD

The President of the European Chess Union Mr. Silvio Danailov has sent a letter to FIDE President Mr. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov stating the list of 10 recommended Arbiters for the upcoming Chess Olympiad in Istanbul, Turkey.

The list of Arbiters:

AUT - IA Manfred Mussnig
BUL - IA Rumen Angelov
DEN - IA Lars-Henrik Bech Hansen
ENG - IA Lara Barnes
GER - IA Klaus Deventer (IA Markus Keller)**
GEO - IA Margalita Tandashvili
NOR - The name will be announced subsequently*
ROU - IA Elisabeta Polihroniade
SRB - IA Petar Katanic - Vujic
SUI - IA Albert Baumberger

Notes:

* The Norwegian Chess Federation will subsequently deliver the name of the Arbiter. We believe that the Federation should get one of the positions considering that they are the organizers of the following Chess Olympiad in 2014.

** If Mr. Deventer becomes a higher-ranked Arbiter in the team of Arbiters Mr. Keller will be recommended for an Arbiter.
