Mark Hebden won the FIDE rated open with 4.5/5 ahead of Jonathan Hawkins and Richard Jones who scored 4. Matthew Wadsworth, with a rating performance of 2278, finished on 3.5 along with David Eggleston and David Spence.

Peter Tart won the Challengers with 4.5/5 ahead of Henrik Stepanyan and Musstapha Othman on 4 whilst Lara Osiyemi and Mani Subramaniam shared first place in the Major with 4.5/5 ahead of Paul Waddingham and Jaqdeep Dhemrait on 4.

There was also a four board women’s match between England and Wales. On Saturday the team of Natasha Regan, Kanwal Bhatia, Maria Yurenok and Ann-Marie James defeated Olivia Smith, Suzy Blackburn, Lynda Roberts and Alyssa Wang 4-0 albeit the score was very harsh on the Welsh team, while on Sunday the score was 2-2 with Ann-Marie James defeating Suzy Blackburn, Maria Yurenok and Anna Wang drawing with Olivia Smith and Lynda Roberts and Alyssa Wang defeating Louise Head.

Oliver Jackson and Ken Norman finished equal second with IM Josef Pribyl rated 2307 CZE on 6.5/9 behind the French/Ukranian GM Vladimir Okhotnik rated 2463 with 8. Dinah Norman finished in a multiple tie for 19th-33rd place with a score of 4.5/9.

My thanks to Ken Norman for providing this information. He recommends the Liechtenstein Seniors to any English Senior as the tournament is very well organised and Liechtenstein is a very beautiful country. The dates of next years tournament are 3rd to 11th May 2013.
