World Chess Olympiad 28th August - 9th September 2012

After eight rounds the mens team have eleven match points out of sixteen whilst the women have eight.

Individual scores:

Open: Michael Adams 4/7, Gawain Jones 3/8, Nigel Short 6/8, David Howell 3.5/6, 5 Nick Pert 2/3.

Women: Anya Corke 2.5/7, Maria Yurenok 3/6, Sarah Hegarty 5/7, Sabrina Chevannes 4.5/6, Kanwal Bhatia 3/6.

Chris Ross is representing the International Braille Chess Association team and is on 5/6.

The event is being held from 28th August to 9th September in Istanbul, Turkey.
