He already has a 30 counting as his lowest, so another poor score puts him out of the running

Quick wins today for Wang Hao v Giri and Mamedyarov v Topalov

Rest day today, 3 rounds left with Grischuk and Mamedyarov a point clear of Topalov and Leko

Both the leaders have 2 whites and both play Gelfand and Morozevich

Good results for Topalov and Mamedyarov would see them close to securing the 2 places for the Candidates, with Grischuk needing a very good result here and in the final Grand Prix (September scheduled for Paris, anyone's guess as to where it will be played)

Mamadyarov only winner today, interesting ending in Gelfand's game

Gelfand had a win right at the end and didn't see it! Queen and pawn endings are a nightmare even to super-GMs

Not a great day for those on a plus score, Mamedyarov was outplayed by Morozevich and lost, Grischuk in trouble against Gelfand, Topolov lost to Giri whilst Leko had an uneventful draw in a Slav Exchange.

Kamsky beat Ivanchuk but remains in last place.

Topalov lost in less than 25 moves again, bizarre

Grischuk lost, so theoretically 4 in the running for at least joint first

Last round pairings:
Mamedyarov (6.5) - Gelfand
Grischuk (6) - Leko (5.5)
Topalov - Morozevich (5.5)

Topalov won, the other 2 games were drawn

Edit - I think Topalov has won the Grand Prix series

Mamedyarov gets the second place in the Candidates unless either Grischuk or Caruana is clear first in the last round of the GP

I may be wrong

I think if Grischuk finishes tied first with one other in the last event he would take 2nd in the series on tie break as his 4th score is better. But apart from that you're right I think.

EDIT: scratch that, he'd be five points behind, maths let me down there!
