So Alan can make a norm but Isaac's opponent is 12 points too low
so..very bad luck for Isaac...but a tall order for Alan.....
but....we will all be cheering him on...shame he wont be on a live board...

A similar story in Washington where Sabrina's last round opponent is 18 points too low for a win to be enough for her final norm

Final round played early. Merry drew, Sanders lost, so no norms, but kudos to both English juniors for competing seriously for high results in such a strong tournament. At age 15-16 (Merry.already with one norm) and 13-14 (Sanders, confirming his excellent performance at Southend) both have good chances of progressing to the IM title in the next 1-3 years.
