Round 9 all games drawn

Nakamura - Gelfand today - one will thus reach at least 6.5 which eliminates Grischuk from the Candidates qualification spot

Caruana has white against Tomashevsky, who has drawn every game so far, and surely must win to stay in contention for outright first

Caruana and Gelfand have won (as Gelfand often does against Nakamura with black I believe)

They share the lead on 6.5

Gelfand has white against Ponomariov and Caruana black against Dominguez in the last round

Draws today for Gelfand and Caruana (joint first) and Nakamura and Bacrot (joint third)

Mamedyarov qualifies for the Candidates

The wildcard has to be 2725 or higher on this list I think, so 16 choices

I believe that Caruana is first reserve if one of the 8 Candidates withdraws

At the world cup, there were two qualification slots, one of which was taken by Kramnik who had pre-qualified. Neither 3rd nor 4th are over 2725, which is interesting.
