Is Adams winning? A pawn up at move 25.

According to the engines, Black is better on all four boards at 4.15 UK time. A first?

Still better for Black on all three boards (board 1 drew), but all six players appear to be in time trouble.

Re: European Team Chs in Warsaw
Looks like 2.5-1.5 Georgia at the moment. Assuming it happens England will be 4 points off the leaders with 3 rounds remaining. Looks a tough ask to reach a medal- winning position.
For the ladies, I reckon they'll get a draw against Turkey from here.

Gawain has clawed something out of the position (49.exf7+). Hope he can draw! Not sure what is going on in Nigel's game.

Yes, and well done Nigel to draw the match
France drew so retain their lead on 12 and will presumably play Armenia (11) with Azerbaijan (11) playing Greece (10)
England on 9 with Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Belarus, Hungary, Netherlands, Czech Republic

Aronian's win against the draw-machine Bacrot is high-class.

Great example from Morozevich of why you should never EVER resign.

Anya Corke's game today was a fine advert for relentless attacking chess and expertly conducted. Well worth a look.

Re: European Team Chs in Warsaw
I see England drew 2-2, with a win from Adams, draw from Short, loss from Jones and a draw from Howell against Judit Polgar. The round nine pairings show England playing the Poland first team, which has a certain symmetry with the pairing against the Poland third team in round 1. In the Women's section, England lost 2.5-1.5 to Azerbaijan and face Iceland in the final round. Best of luck to both teams.
It will be interesting to see what happens on the top two match tables in the Open, with Armenia playing Azerbaijan and Russia playing France. Georgia, also in contention for the medals, play the Czech Republic. I think the England Open team still have faint hopes of tying for third with two other countries if results go their way.
