Kasparov has obviously been doing his homework.
He’s undertaken extensive preparation,
deeply analysed the collected games of Campomanes & Ilyumzhinov on BungBase,
and realised that he can’t run an election campaign on Queensbury Rules.
Neto, Kok and Karpov all played to those Rules, and were soundly thrashed.

Re: BungBase
Kok and Karpov completely ignored the possibility that a credible team and a coherent plan might be relevant. Their campaigns consisted solely of screaming that everyone to do with FIDE was corrupt and then, when they lost, invoking this as proof that they were correct. Kasparov is certainly throwing in some lavish bribery, but otherwise seems to be making the same mistake.
