Since we are talking about Groningen, why are the Dutch pushing Anne Haast so much. Doesn't she always get a place in Tata C tournament every year as well. But with 0.5-3.5 against Elizabeth Pahetz this year - ah well.

It appears to be original as well. 9. c5 gives away a pawn in exchange for the dark square Bishop, but White might almost have enough to be equal. Least worst anyway. 8 Nb3 appears a novelty, with 8. e3 the most popular move.

He will end up, at best, two pawns down with his king still stuck in the middle. So it is understandable that he resigned in disgust.
