Wei Yi has gained another 2.5 points in the Chinese league this weekend, which takes him to 2723.5 on the live list
As far as I can tell from live ratings, he isn't playing again this month, so his July 2015 FIDE rating would be 2724
This means he is below the rating to qualify for a wildcard to the Candidates 2016, which is 2725 in the July 2015 rating list
To reach the Candidates, therefore, he has to reach the World Cup final as far as I can see
