Sveshnikov has an excellent life-time score against World Champions. I think he is at least evens in something like 45 to 50 games.

Hope that's a genuine E10 (not a 10 euro note, by the way).

Nick Faulks will be so disappointed if it's another fake Blumenfeld Counter Gambit following on from the Danzhou one.

Thanks for the link to the live games.

Can't complain about the great job Mark Crowther has done and continues to do.

This is probably another case of Chessbase s/w classifying from hip -

Game 5: Karpov,A-Sveshnikov,E - 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 - is classified in ECO as E10 BUT is not yet a Blumenfeld -
3... d5 - transposes to D30 QGD (3... c5 4.d5 b5 is the Blumenfeld Counter Gambit proper.)

Classifying E10 as a Blumenfeld after Karpov's third move is premature.

1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 d5 4.e3 is clearly a D30 QGD.
