The link's OK now.

I see Adams - Jedynak has very quickly reached an ending with 2R+6P vs. R+B+N+4P.

Mickey's opponent seemed to play rubbish rather quickly, being nearly an hour up on the clock at one point. I didn't have an engine running but the whole idea by Black looked suspect to me - although someone (probably Roger!) will no doubt tell me it was played by one of the top 20 last week.

There seems to be an error on the website showing live games, as it gives Glen House as black against both Keith Arkell and Keith Allen !?

David Eggleston seems to be facing the biggest pawn roller ever - Nigel will be happy.

Hi Barry

I read your post earlier on this evening when I was having my evening meal in my apartment.

I know the chap who is doing the Live Boards on the IoM, so I sent him an email pointing out his mistake.

I must admit, he didn't act on it very quickly, but he seemed to correct it later on.

Cheers

Dave

Will Nigel Short play 20 Bxh7+ for what I assume would be an unusual (with Qd2 rather than Qd1) Greek Gift sacrifice? https://chess24.com/en/watch/live-tourn ... 2015/2/1/7

He's having a long think about it. Or at least I assume so, it shouldn't take that long to decide which Rook to put on the c file if he doesn't trust his calculations as to how the attack would continue.

White to move

Keith Arkell in difficulties after 15 moves against David Howell. Maybe he should have played the Caro-Kann.

The opening was okay and has been played before by Keith and others.
