3 way tie in the Challengers on 9/11 between Dreev, Safarli and Adhiban (who beat the 2 others and it would seem fair gets the spot in the Masters next year)

In the final game of the event, Hou let a win slip against Giri - summing up what was ultimately a disappointing event after a bright start.

(losing to van Wely in the manner she did was arguably even more discouraging than chucking a half point against Magnus away)
