Peter Batchelor is playing a very powerful game against Keith Arkell, looks to be knocking him over.

Looks to me as though 37 Qg7 intending Rh3+ wins (even against 37... g4).
Impressive game.

He hasn't lost yet and Peter is short of time.

The live board transmission apparently cut off the end of my game yesterday. Here it is in full:

Board 1 lasted 10 moves so a winner on board 2 would be half clear going into the last round.

(See above for the game.)

So, at times, even the machines can't keep up with you, Jack.

On bd. 5 FM Paul Batchelor - (not so?) fresh his win with White yesterday v. GM Arkell - seems to be a bit short of space and painted into a corner against GM Hebden. He's also just over an hour down on time if the display is correct, which means that Mark Hebden, with 1 hr. 26 mins. remaining, is playing faster than Jack, left with only 1 hr. 10 mins.

It's Peter, not Paul :)

I'm starting to like his position (if he plays 25....d4) whereas ten moves ago I thought queenside castling was rather risky. It may prove to be a good decision in unbalancing the position, albeit rather riskily, than allowing Mark an edge without any black counterplay.

I see what you mean, Loz.
Fly away Paul, come back Peter!
Black is on the attack now.

Hebden-Batchelor drawn. Arkell's game looks like a draw too, but some way to go yet.
