Topalov v Nakamura
Anand v Giri
ROUND FOURTEEN

I'll be cold blooded and go for eight draws, hoping 6/8 will be a winning score.

The only thing that could stop Giri drawing was my predicting that he would do so.

I'll have to think up a tie-break

Re: Candidates: predict the last two rounds
So somebody out there wants Carlsen-Anand III, evidently

Re: Candidates: predict the last two rounds
Last time there were only 5 draws in the last 2 rounds despite Vishy winning with a round to spateNickFaulks wrote:Already taken!Barry Sandercock wrote:Round 13

London only had 3 draws when it was tight like here
Pressure+nerves=blunders unlikely to lead to 8 draws surely

Re: Candidates: predict the last two rounds
Depends a bit on whether they end up blundering away draws or doing the same with wins

Re: Candidates: predict the last two rounds
If I had predicted based on what I wanted, it would have been:Matt Mackenzie wrote:So somebody out there wants Carlsen-Anand III, evidently
ROUND THIRTEEN
0-1 Caruana v Svidler
1-0 Aronian v Karjakin
1/2 Anand v Giri
... resulting in a 5-way tie before the last round!
Quite possible combination of results.
