Interesting footage of Keres playing blitz in 1938 in this article Chess Mind

Anyone know the answer to Dennis' question?
Just like practically all newbies to chess clocks - which they surely aren't - they're moving the pieces with one hand and hitting the clock with the other, with the clock hand resting either on or near the button. Nowadays this is against the rules, but apparently it wasn't back then. (Does anyone know when the change went into effect?)
Any postings on here represent my personal views

Wow, amazing footage. I was at a blitz chess event last night, and it was exactly the same (though the standard of play may have been slightly lower!), but without people using one hand to press the clock and one to move the pieces. Presumably the change came about because people started pressing the clock before they had completed their moves (or simply holding the button down to win on time). I suppose some forms of etiquette avoided that back then.

At least they didn't deliberately knock over their opponent's pawns and pieces like some people do.
