Final days play to start in about 30mins, in theory everyone has a chance of winning the event as the gap between 1st and last is not so pronounced. Should be quite interesting.

Magnus Carlsen has defeated Caruana to take a 3.5 point leader with only 3 rounds to go. Anand & So are on 18.5 with Aronian on 18.

But his loss to GIri was dreaful. The piece sac could not be justiifed against a so-sell defended king... .

Carlsen needs to win this last round to retain his world number 1 blitz ranking (otherwise he drops 40+ points over the 36 games to drop below Ding Liren). Carlsen still number one in both the rapid and classic time control lists.
