Re: 14th ROC Nova College 2016
Interesting to see how they structure the tournament. It follows the now discarded (in the UK) structure of one round Friday evening, three on Saturday and two on Sunday. It's nominal three and a half hour sessions with a move rate of 90 12, so not eligible as an Open for FIDE rating. There seems to be a meal break early Saturday evening, so it's a later finish than a British tournament using the same move rate. That also gives them some recovery time in the event of a game overrunning.Mick Norris wrote:Matthew Sadler won with a 2781 performance
With six rounds, they can allow the sections to be larger, only two sections where a comparable UK event would have at least three.
