He won't be losing round 5 against an even higher rated player either!

The 2584 escapes with a study like draw.

I see Adam has drawn, so that's 2 draws with GMs in a row

I assume there are no norm chances now for the English players?

Just looked on chessresults, and surprised to find that Julio Zuniga is currently 25 points higher rated then Shirov.

Would guess that Adam needs 2/2, possibly 1.5 is enough?

He has played 3 GMs, and is playing an FM today, so needs another titled player in the last round

He has beaten the 4 untitled players, so I guess you are right he will need 2/2 to get his TPR up to the required figure

A nice concluding game from McPhillips, defeating GM Dan Zoler to give him 7.5/10, level with Fressinet and other big names. Not enough for a norm?

TPR of 2388 suggests not; if it were closer to 2450 it might be worth seeing what you can do with upgrading the round 1 win, or dropping the round 1 win and upgrading the round 2 win.

Only four titled opponents so definitely no possibility of a norm sadly.
