Caruana - Ding marathon but all games drawn in round 7 chess.com report

Round 8 has Anand v Topalov, they are both +1, with So (+2) white against Caruana (with black v MVL in the last round, so the tournament is still open)

Not much discussion of this tournament. Some great chess played (among a number of tame draws).

Great result for Wesley So with 5.5/9. Four players finishing joint second with 5/9.
Giri the big loser, unable to win a game, finishing bottom with three losses and 6 draws.
Giri used to be so hard to beat, what has happened?

He certainly seems to be going through a bit of a post-Candidates slump. But these mini-crises can sometimes do good in the longer run.

I gather that Mickey Adams was confirmed as the wildcard for the London Chess Classic
