If only.
Bad finish for you and Justin, and I see Gary withdrew

Did you enjoy Prague?

I did. It was great. I enjoyed the chess too although the results were somewhat disappointing, to say the least. After starting with +3 =0 -1, from my last five games I was clearly winning in four and not losing in one. I drew four and lost one.

My last round game I was a piece up after about 20 minutes, still a piece up 3.5 hours later, still clearly winning half an hour or more after that ... the game ended in a draw 5 minutes later with bare kings.
Fairly typical of my tournament.

If they gave points for being ahead at certain point in the game like they do in the stages of the tour de france, I’d probably have won the tournament.

You know that thing that Alan used to say about the mark of a good team being playing badly and winning anyway? Well, i was playing well and not winning.
