Technically, I think, this is the Prague Summer Open to distinguish it from a similar event in the winter. I played in it (well, the 'B' section) last year as my one and only international event but I'm proud that this year I have two club mates competing - Glenn House (already mentioned) and Paul Jackson.

Just. For some reason my scrappy win against a 1500 was not the focal point of the after game pub post-mortem.Mick Norris wrote: Forumite Jonathan Bryant is in the B section and won too

It isn't often you overturn a 359 rating point difference - thank for posting the game, John

Yes, thanks.
My first GM. It only took forty years of competitive chess to get there.

Three Englishmen in a row in round 2. Albeit Messers Foo and Quillan across the aisle from me: they in the Open section me in the considerably calmer waters of the B Group.

I see Justin won again. Oppo rated only 2246, so to be expected I suppose.

Regrettably all good runs come to an end.

I see the GM that Justin beat has won all 6 games since and is in the joint lead with 2 rounds to go

Mick, your results link in the first post here goes to the 2015 tournament. That confused me and might confuse others in future. Maybe change that? Correct link:

Chris
It was the link I got from TWIC, to be honest I think the destination has been changed since posting, as I noticed when trying to use it - thanks for posting the correct link

This is the like to the B tournament. You can get to the A tournament (the Open Open A as opposed to the Open B which is limited to 2100 and under).

I would advise EC Forum readers of a nervous disposition to wear a pair of Zaphod Beeblebrox’s Peril Sensitive Sunglasses if looking up my results over the last 4 rounds.

Your most recent result is not there - another draw?
