Hari has worked hard because he had no choice, defending two difficult endings. I'm sure he would have been delighted to play fewer moves.

The real point is that a 9 round Swiss with so few players is a strange format, and that it inhibits enterprising play maybe shouldn't surprise?

Lots of decisive result today with wins for Mamedyarov with white and Ding, Hammer, Salem & Svidler all with black.

ChessBase report on a very exciting Round 3 and lets hope for more of that today. The only downside is that the report starts with Mamedyarov wiping out Mickey.

No quick draws today but Adams lost with white to Nepomniachtchi who was an hour up on time very early on and had 2h 8m at one point whilst Mickey was very low on time.

Yes, but need to wait until it is an actual rating, rather than just a live rating :lol:
