Re: PRO Chess League
regarding the cheating, I do know of another way the account could have been closed without using the match up rates, that a fair few players have fallen into the trap of doing. Without even looking at the engine match up rates in the actual games.
But im just speculating on whatever 'evidence' they chose to use to reverse the result of the players results.

I'm guessing online chess will soon be pointless. Take a look at this completely depressing web site: http://chess-bot.com/

I don't know about pointless, but for formal competitions, independent witnesses, if not arbiters will need to be present.Chris Rice wrote:I'm guessing online chess will soon be pointless. Take a look at this completely depressing web site: http://chess-bot.com/

Re: PRO Chess League
This happens quite often. I heard rumours of 4NcL games being abandoned by one or two players one season if they were still playing shortly before the start time, so that the relevant players could go to their rooms to play in this.NickFaulks wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 3:13 pmWesley So played yesterday?LawrenceCooper wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 3:08 pmResults from last night including a couple of super GM scalps for Marcus: https://twitter.com/PROChessLeague?ref_ ... gue.com%2F

The just published Chess.com report on the match says the Lions' fourth board, Marcus Harvey, managed to beat both So and Dominguez en route to a 2.5/4 score.LawrenceCooper wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 4:49 pmLiem, also with black.Nick Burrows wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 4:09 pmWho else did he beat Dominguez or Liem?LawrenceCooper wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 3:08 pmResults from last night including a couple of super GM scalps for Marcus:

My money would be on Marcus and the games on the chess.com website rather than the report.Leonard Barden wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 4:05 pmThe just published Chess.com report on the match says the Lions' fourth board, Marcus Harvey, managed to beat both So and Dominguez en route to a 2.5/4 score.
