Jovanka's second win in three games leaves her on 4/7 going into the rest day. Ketevan is on 4.5 after a draw today.

It's still possible for both Jovanka and Ketevan to achieve one of those 14 qualifying places with four rounds to go. A lot easier for Ketevan as she lies in 25th place so maybe she only needs a win and three draws whereas Jovanka is back in 66th so may need a couple of wins and a couple of draws as her tie break scores will not be good. Here are the leading pairings for Round 8:

1 GM Dzagnidze Nana 2528 5½ 5½ GM Danielian Elina 2437
2 FM Pustovoitova Daria 2411 5½ 5½ WGM Goryachkina Aleksandra 2452
3 GM Zhukova Natalia 2438 5 5 GM Muzychuk Anna 2587
4 GM Muzychuk Mariya 2546 5 5 WGM Zawadzka Jolanta 2449
5 IM Kashlinskaya Alina 2426 5 5 GM Lagno Kateryna 2543
6 IM Batsiashvili Nino 2496 5 5 GM Khotenashvili Bela 2445
7 IM Vega Gutierrez Sabrina 2413 5 5 GM Socko Monika 2462
8 GM Hoang Thanh Trang 2459 5 5 IM Atalik Ekaterina 2429
9 IM Paehtz Elisabeth 2454 5 5 IM Nechaeva Marina 2395
10 WGM Girya Olga 2470 4½ 5 IM Zimina Olga 2395

17 IM Bulmaga Irina 2394 4½ 4½ GM Arakhamia-Grant Ketevan 2374
23 IM Houska Jovanka 2397 4 4 WGM Ambartsumova Karina 2282

In case it becomes important the tie breakers are:

The order of players that finish with the same number of points shall be determined by
application of the following tie-breaking procedures in sequence, proceeding from (a) to (b)
to (c) to (d) to (e) the extent required:
(a) Results of direct encounters between the tied players (applies only if all tied players have
played each other)
(b) Buchholz Cut 1
(c) Buchholz
(d) The greater average ELO rating of the opponents
(e) The greater number of wins.
In the case of unplayed games, for the calculation of tiebreak criteria the current FIDE
Tournament Rules shall be applied.

Chess24 obscurely have her on 3.5/6, her first round result having apparently failed to register.
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Excuse my ignorance, but why does Stefanova and Antova have ECU symbols in place of what I presume should both be Bulgarian flags?

The Bulgarian Federation are currently suspended by ECU.

It's not unconnected with Danailov's fights with other FIDE people, but there's apparent evidence of dubious activity involving the Bulgarian Federation.

Disastrous day for our two women who both lost:

17 IM Bulmaga Irina 2394 1-0 GM Arakhamia-Grant Ketevan 2374
23 IM Houska Jovanka 2397 0-1 WGM Ambartsumova Karina 2282

Guess they will have to win all three of their remaining games to have any chance at all of one of those 14 qualifying places. Dzagnidze & Goryachkina lead with 6½/8.

Do results against the not-currently-shown-as-Bulgarian players still count for rating and norm purposes? (You would think so, but better to check when it comes to FIDE and the possibility of arbitrary rules)

My understanding is that they do.

When Bulgaria was suspended / expelled from the ECU, it was made clear that Bulgarian players could still compete in individual ECU events under the ECU flag (as is happening).

This is probably a good moment to give a plug to two players who have played in my 4NCL/European Club Cup teams this season. Irina Bulmaga held Anna Muzychuk to a draw and Mihaela Sandu ended a run of three losses with a win today.
Elsewhere, Katarzyna Toma of South Wales Dragons is defending a pawn v 2 knights and is on move 92 and counting
