Ketevan's been registered for Scotland for a while now - she got her final GM norm playing for Scotland in the last Olympiad.

Leonard Barden wrote:I tried to find results and/or games of the IM tournament on the confusing Dieppe website but was unsuccessful. Can anybody do better? It should be remarked that Yang-Fan Zhou has apparently chosen to try for his second IM norm there rather than play for the £2,000 first prize at the date-clashing UK Chess Challenge, where he and Ynojosa would have been joint favourites.
Somewhat belatedly I have found some results on the site. For the open:

http://pagesperso-orange.fr/philippe.do ... 200908.htm

and for the Masters:

http://pagesperso-orange.fr/philippe.do ... Berger.htm
http://pagesperso-orange.fr/dieppeechec ... DE%202.htm

of for the general index: http://www.chess-and-strategy.com/

and for coverage of Sarah Hegarty's match: http://pokemonchess.blogspot.com/ although I found out via facebook that Sarah won the match 3-1 so congratulations to her.

Apologies for the belated information.

Dieppe certainly has a chaotic website!

It ought to be mentioned that if BERSOULT gets 0/9 (or anyone got 9/9) it invalidates the tournament for APA norms - it will be a swiss norm if anyone were fortunate enough to get the points.

Does that matter any more? As I understand it, you now need 27 games' worth of norms, no matter what type of norms they are - APA and Swiss norms count equally.

That's a fantastic performance from Lawrence! Admittedly he always does extremely well in this event (sometimes better even than this) but this is rather special, since it immediately followed the British and the Staunton - and he looked so unwell at the end of the Staunton that I had half expected the air line not to allow him aboard on the flight to Italy!

Meanwhile, quite an Indian summer all round from Hebden.

Hard to tell whether this is rhetorical or literal (who can divine the mind of an East Saxon? ;-) ). If the latter just click on the "edit" button at the bottom right hand corner of the germane message. If you delete everything the message should vanish, a bit like Arsenal's lead.
