I assume that Russia affiliated players are absent from this one?

Yes, but there are a couple of FID players.

As this is an ECU event rather than a FIDE one, any RUS or BLR players would have had to transfer to FID in order to be permitted to play.

There was a successful game between a Russian and a Ukrainian in round 2, which I was very pleased to see. However, since then the other Russian player has defaulted such an encounter, I don't know the background. I could ask, but I expect the CA has enough to worry about.

It would appear finishing in the top 9 or so is crucial according to the regulations
22nd European Women Championship implies the qualification for the World Women Championship in 2023. According to FIDE regulations and decision of the ECU Board, at least 9 players will qualify.
