Congratulations to Kanwal Bhatia who qualified for the WFM title at the 2010 Olympiad held in Khanty-Mansiysk, Siberia from 21st Sept - 3rd October. This was in recognition of her outstanding score of 6.5/9 on board 4 (although she actually played 7 times on board 3 and only twice on board 4) for the England women's team which finished 15th= (21st on tie-break) out of 115 teams well ahead of their seeding of 39th.

Congratulations to Kanwal from all of us in the North-East who remember 'Dimple' winning all the girls titles in Northumberland and Durham back in the '90s. The NJCA is proud of its two former members who have achieved Interntional titles this year. 'The Hawk'(IM) being the other one
