Open (of the 10 boards i can see online)
Surrey are ahead by a point thanks to Gavin Wall's victory over Colin Crouch, but David Okike seems to be doing well again Clive Frostick further down the boards for a chance to level the match.
...Very tactical though it could get messy.

OMG is there a notation error in Pall Thorarinsson (Mid) 2xx v Marcus Osborne (Sur) 204 ?
Move 75 appears to be a black blunder and white chooses not to take advantage! Time scrambles - arrrggh

Then move 80 see what appears to be an illegal move. I wonder what's happening...

Just the live boards struggling to keep up. Perhaps Middx. has done the double? Some interesting games played anyway.

It looks as if Middlesex are probably over the line, unless the Thor-Osborne game has ended in a stalemate trick. If so Middlesex still have board 12 in reserve.

Not sure why e2e4 haven't got a result for board 5?

I was wondering about Rxd6, too...

Am I right in saying that it was the U-100 section where neither finalist had previously won a match in the national stage? Only, I'm reading a 6-6 draw with Essex winning on board count...

Correct. There were six teams in the National Stages, so there should have been five matches. Two were won by default and the other three all finished 6-6.

So, five titles for the SCCU and two for the MCCU. When was the last time the NCCU returned home empty handed?

Sean,

Thanks very much for your work: it was great to be able to follow the finals on-line. Will the scoresheets be published as pgns at some point?
