Some of the quarter-finals were played today. Nice to see the results service working so well:

Are some of the fixtures being played tomorrow, or are some of them just not submitted yet?

Essex v Norfolk in the Minor Counties is being played on Sunday: the Essex U160 and U120 matches were played on Saturday but have not yet been submitted.

I see there are 3 missing Bedfordshire players in their Minor result, so wonder why

Lots of defaulted matches too

Perhaps the software can't handle people without grading codes?

Someone with a grading code, but no current grade might have the same effect. There's an average grading restriction in the Minor Counties, so an estimate would be needed.

Aren't there going to be even more defaults if the ECF enforces compulsory membership rules for this competition and declares non-members not eligible?

You get issued with a grading code when you become an ECF member, I think

Actually, I downloaded the ECF membership list 3 days ago and there are 9458 on it, of whom 22 don't have a grading code

Somebody stupid couldn't work out how to add players not already assigned to a particular team. :?
I've emailed Alex and no doubt he will tell me where I went wrong.

But for the record they were:

2. Chris Ross
6. John Sharp
12. David Martinez-Villena

It appears there was a short-term problem adding new names for about an hour last night. This seemed to resolve to itself. You may have been caught up with this, so you probably didn't go wrong at all.

Still around six results to come in. Only three sections for which the full semi-final line-up is known:

Minor: Bedfordshire vs Hampshire and Lincolnshire vs Essex/Norfolk
U100: Essex vs Lancashire and Nottinghamshire vs Surrey
U120: Kent vs Warwickshire and Essex vs Staffordshire
U140: Lancashire/Shrophire vs Hampshire and Kent vs Yorkshire
U160: Kent/Lancashire vs Warwickshire and Yorkshire/Essex vs Nottinghamshire
U180: Cambridgeshire vs Middlesex and Lancashire vs Kent
Open: Staffordshire/Kent vs Middlesex and Lancashire vs Yorkshire/Surrey

Thanks for providing me with that excuse, David. Let's go with that :D
Anyway, all sorted now.

The results page is now showing a penalty point for Warwickshire (meaning they only just made a positive score at 1-14) versus Middlesex, and also one for Somerset versus Lancashire. Anyone know what these penalties were for? Warks had a default but Somerset didn't.

Well done on your win Andrew. Perhaps we got a point deducted for being so bad

The penalties are explained in the News section, above the tournament bracket, for each section.
