“….. and there is Sammy Lee, another inbred Liverpool man” David Pleat

WEEK 9 HEADLINES

John Garnett hangs on in front as Robert Ashworth and John Reyes close in.

This week’s distinction award goes to Dave Ledger with a sublime 67. What means more to Dave, tied fourth at Scarborough and it’s £25 prize, or top-scoring here? I suspect we all know the answer!

21 points wins no prizes for John Jarmony, either here or at Scarborough, or for Phil Makepeace, (although Phil had a win for Drunken Knights on Monday night, better than his teammate Simon Williams who lost to a 160!).

A new name at the bottom, Robert Dale, for whom the Team name of "Villaplus" probably gives the game away.

"It was goalposts for jumpers" - Tony Mowbray

WEEK 10 : HEADLINES

Well he’s been there or thereabouts for most of the season, now Robert Ashworth’s Rash Rangers take over at the top. And slipping nicely into second it’s …… where did he come from? ..... Paul Spiller. Oh he joined in Week 7. Hmmmm. Must be a slow internet connection down in the south west?

Oh well! Top score this week belongs to Paul “late show” Spiller. 91, it’s a good score. Just lucky the the zero tolerance rule wasn’t in operation. What do you reckon, a Bristol City supporter?

If things weren’t bad enough in Liverpool, Matthew Payne’s Anfield Attackers come up with a pony 19. Very smelly!

And that explains why Matthew is now 36 points adrift at the wrong end of the table. Meanwhile it’s mighty close for the plastic fork position with half-a-dozen teams within six points of each other. Thrilling!

Just a quick note that David Gilbert hasn't updated his reports for a month. Indeed he hasn't logged into the Board for a month either. I hope that he's ok and his absence is temporary.

In the interim, if I don't hear anything I'll do an update after this weekend's fixtures to keep us on track - though of course Ben Edgell is still on nil points where we might anticipate he'll remain till the end of the season.

Week 16

In the continued absence of David Gilbert (still not logged in here since Nov 6th) an update for Week 16

John Garnett maintains his position at the top having opened up a 23 point gap to his nearest rival who is now John Reyes. Peter Staneland's "GoalLess" top score with 97 points to move into a challenging position. Scores in the 30s (plenty of them) aren't sufficient but worse affected is Robert Ashworth's "Rash Rangers" who moves downward to 5th place after a paltry 36 points.

Week 17

"It was a damp squid for Liverpool" - Paul Merson

Week 18 sees the start of the Fantasy Football Cup - who will be the last player standing??

All the Week 17 scores went into reverse - Robert Ashworth's "Rash Rangers" bounce straight back to third place whilst top scorer from Week 17 Peter Staneland "GoalLess" finishes at the bottom of the pack with just 28 points - his strike force of Rooney, Van Persie and Welbeck with just 2 points apiece and goal-less. The other low scorers were John Jarmany's "John's Mighty Men" and Matt Payne's "Anfield Attackers" and these two teams are becoming cut off at the foot of the League. Ex-champion Richard Beach is the top scorer of the week with 88 points; the top two teams from Week 17 remain in place.

""The paint is hardly dry on Neil Warnock's sacking" - JIM WHITE" - and so it proved- first Premiership manager to be removed this season.

WEEK 18

Change at the top with John Reyes showing his FC Chilli is hot stuff by knocking John Garnett's Made of Stone down - but it's certainly no demolition as just seven points separate the two teams. Peter Roberson's Goalsmiths are the hotshots with 98 points whilst Matt Payne's Anfield Attackers make the low score of 36 points and are now detached at the foot of the league.

Just looked up my team- there are still 14,328 teams worse then me overall.

http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/ ... istory/19/

-10,939 points is quite tough to beat.

Week 19

"Sometimes you want Obertan to open his legs and do something a bit exciting" - ALAN PARDEW

Yet another manager who is supposedly on the move as I write this report.

Little change at the top - with nine managers now up to the 1000 point mark. Points are harder to come by than this time last year when anyone with Suarez in their team seemed to be guaranteed double figures. Top scorer with 65 points was Jono Graham - here is one of his Christmas cracker jokes "Todays news is of an explosion at a French cheese factory - all that remained was De Brie". Graham Ives team "The Numbers Game" provides the number of 21 - the lowest score this week.

Week 20

“Pardew has got previous for this kind of thing – but that was a one-off.” David Speedie

Transfer time is upon us - will Ben Edgell be bringing in some new players?? A giant 78 point leap for Mark Page's "Keep Cov in Cov" - a rather redundant team title as they're now back in Cov. An e-mail from Barry Redburm informs me that he'll be at the top of the table by the end of January - just so long as he wins his county game next Saturday I'll be satisfied. Meanwhile in the Bargain Basement John Jarmany's "Mighty Men" can only take a small step of 28 points as the lowest score of the week.

Week 23

Quick update folks after a break! Very little to report - the top teams maintain their position whilst John Jarmany and Matt Payne are detached now at the bottom the table. Barry Redburn crept up to Number 2 but has slipped back to Number 5. You should have by now used your transfer window "wild card" - if not there's about an hours to do it in!

1 FC Chilli Reyes John Reyes 71 1,309
