Fischers actual periods of play were different from the image to protect him, also his games were got to from different openings also to protect him.

the other thing keeping fischer from the public eye is also who he actually is, because he is someone even more important in the world than a chess player

This endless s**t is dragging the Forum down. Maybe the kind idea could be followed through - keep in one 'special' thread?

Re: game over: kasparov vs the machine film
Looking back on the match, it is amusingly ironic that Kasparov accused them of cheating by using a human instead of an engine - I imagine that will be the last time in chess history anyone will need to make that particular accusation.
Although they refused to allow it to be analysed afterwards, I think the general impression most players had was that deep blue was not an obscenely strong programme, 20 years ahead of the current 90s technology but more that they just rigged it up with an incredibly good processor which was miles faster then anything else and it was that which gave the evil machine it's advantage.

Lose one queen and it is a disaster, Lose 1000 queens and it is just a statistic.

Yes. According to IBM - "Deep Blue was a combination of special purpose hardware and software with an IBM RS/6000 SP2 -- a system capable of examining 200 million moves per second, or 50 billion positions, in the three minutes allocated for a single move in a chess game."Joey Stewart wrote: ↑Tue Sep 13, 2022 10:20 pmAlthough they refused to allow it to be analysed afterwards, I think the general impression most players had was that deep blue was not an obscenely strong programme, 20 years ahead of the current 90s technology but more that they just rigged it up with an incredibly good processor which was miles faster then anything else and it was that which gave the evil machine it's advantage.

Please stop bombarding this forum with all your nonsense
The fundamental problem is that AL does not realise his posts are nonsensical. To him they all makes perfect sense.
We all need to bear that in mind.
Mind you, the Einstein comment did make me laugh out loud so sometimes AL does brighten up my day.
