At least Bangladesh cunningly made sure in advance that we couldn't get the most embarassing result of the tournament when they lost to Hong Kong :)

England has an all time record of 0/2 vs. the Netherlands at T20, having lost twice in the space of five years. NL has actually played well this tournament, not only defeating Ireland to qualify in an extraordinary game (look it up on Youtube if it's still there), but coming very close to knocking over the Saffers as well, and putting on a respectable show against NZ.

Except for against Sri Lanka :) That really was bad. Very reasonable after that yes and rather amazing vs Ireland.

The amazing thing about the Dutch victory over Ireland in the qualification tournament was that they HAD to score the 190 runs in 14.2 overs to overcome the Irish NRR. They set themselves the target and just went for it, blasting sixes all over the park. Something to learn from that even for the big teams.

Even now, the England selectors are poring over Dutch genealogical records....
