Well he was telling the truth, but I only managed to watch thirty seconds of the show, so I hope somebody else can give us a summary.

Re: Beat the Pack tv game show
Missed the intro because I was watching my money go the drain at Cheltenham.
Danny got into the final and sneaked a bit into the conversation
about what it was like to be a GM.
You never know a few home and casual players might tonight be looking
about to see if they have a local chess club.
I knew the basketball one which Danny stumbled on.
I also knew 'the Scottish Play' question by Shakespeare.
(Shakespeare is supposed to have obtained that poem/curse
from a real witch which makes the play so unlucky.)
Danny seemed to know the answer but was not convinced so passed.
He then lost it on a chemical element question which I too guess wrong.
Very unlucky.
We need more of you guys and girls out there to go on these things.
It appears to be the only way we are going to get chess on daytime TV.
A couple of you get on 'Pointless' that is where the money is.
The questions are easier, the format is simplier and the viewing figures higher.

"Pointless" is one of the best quiz shows on the box. "Beat the Pack" was too confusing...and wont get a second series.
Still....nice watching the Gorm come so close......

I like the main segment of "Beat the Pack" but I hate the ending. It is so anti-climactic and has zero relevance to the rest of the game. Really spoils it for me .
I knew the element question and it pained me to see that he couldn't get it. But then again I didn't know a couple of the questions he got right so well done to him!
