An excellent point, Lewis, with just two minor flaws. One, we've already had a William IV, and two, we've already had a William IV. You could even argue that William IV was German! Though the Hanoverians were around for quite a while...
In fact, don't some people in this country consider the Royal Family German (albeit Diana was more English)? It's rather diluted blood-wise by now.
