UK government document standards

Just spotted the following bit of news: UK makes ODF its official documents format standard.

The UK government has adopted the Open Document Format for all its sharable documents - that seems like progress.

Very healthy and sensible really. Vendor lock in of data is pretty well always exceedingly undesirable.
