Postage

Post by soheil_hooshdaran » Thu Mar 05, 2015 6:42 am

Hello.
I'd like to get a price for postage.
How much does it cost to send a postal packet within the UK, and from UK to other European countries and vice-verse?

yesterday I wanted to send a packet to London and saw it costs much to send it with special mail, and regular mail offers no guarantee, tracking.

What postal service do you prefer?

If you use Royal Mail, the cost depends on weight, dimensions, and the level of service required. You can obtain "proof of posting" at no cost, but if you are sending something valuable, you should pay for an enhanced service, otherwise you will be running a risk.

Do you always use Royal mail? Or is there another service?

An A4 Paper+an A5 paper+2 325-gram books. But There is no hurry to send the books now;maybe publishing it on lighter papers reduces its weight=>so the weight is 100-150 grams.

There are alternatives to Royal Mail, but at that kind of weight Royal Mail is very competitive and I would guess that you would find it hard to improve much on their price.

I think you will find that Royal Mail provide compensation up to about £20 or £25 at no extra cost, but check their conditions. If so, you may not need an enhanced service.
