The rapid rating

Post by soheil_hooshdaran » Fri Nov 13, 2015 3:59 am

Hello.
I have participated in a FIDE-rated rapid event and got a rapid rating-1731. Wonder what's the use of it?

The same as any other rating: it provides an estimate of your playing strength for future events under the same conditions.

What would happen if I have a high rating?
High standard rating pays of you want to be a coach.Does high rapid rating also have such a use?

If you have a high rating, you'll be seeded higher in FIDE-rated rapidplay events. You can judge for yourself how much that means to you.

I have no idea of what a high rapidplay rating would add to your coaching credentials.
